Alright, you might have had a glimpse of it in one of the previous posts where I briefly talked about it. But after using it for about a good 5 months of so, this post here, will be my verdict.
The thing about this product, was that it started off pretty well. It was my first time trying a color corrector, and have always been intrigued by Coastalscents CamoQuad Color Corrector (that's alot of C's), but never really got around buying it. And when I saw Essence's version of a color corrector at such an attractive price, I got it.
As mentioned, it started off pretty well. I liked it - decently. It was handy, and travel friendly, and definitely one of the things that I'd throw into my make up pouch. But after a few weeks of using this, I realised that it was starting to dry out my under eye area (I use the salmon color for my under eyes) and also, it began settling into the fine lines, making my under eye area really patchy. :( I guess this could be due to the fact that the product was drying up in the pan - despite the fact that I snap it shut after daily usage. I'm just pushing the blame to the packaging of this product.
The good:
- Pocket-friendly pricing.
- Handy, small and compact enough for you to chuck into your pouch.
- Really does color correct.
The bad:
- Gets cakey after 3-4hours. Under eye area becomes patchy.
- Settles into fine lines
- Product in pan dries up really fast. Packaging does not help in any other way.
- Slips off easily, compared to other face regions.
And no, I probably wouldn't get this again. Think I might have lost faith in color correctors. =/
