If you guys have been following my ‘Hair Woes,’ you would
have known that I bleached my hair-ends on the 1st April and ever
since then, my damaged ends became worse than before!
I’ve been searching high and low for a decent hair product
to counter this vanity problem of mine – afterall, bleaching my hair was
something done in my own accord and I totally
deserve such a consequence! Sadly, I couldn’t find anything that would
guarantee the nourishment of my hair. Everything I read about online, had mix
reviews. If only I was rich enough to try as many as I could.
Long story short, I was hunting high and low for a hair
product over my mom’s dresser and I found that she has alot of ‘Olive Oil’
based hair products. She once, was an avid fan of hair dyeing and perming and
would have her hair done every 3 months. Her hair was like HAY then! But now, she has really smooth hair and she credits her olive oil products.
When I was younger, my mom used to slather the strange
smelling oil onto my hair as well, as much as I hated it, I had really really
nice and soft hair! So I figured, ‘Hheck,
I’ll make my own!’
Here are the things that you need:
- Olive Oil* (Normal/Extra Virgin)
- Vitamin E Oil
- Empty Bottle
- Fragrance Oil (optional)
*You could replace ‘Olive Oil’ with other natural oils such
as Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil, Grapeseed oil, Avocado Oil, Almond Oil etc. Click
here for the different hair benefits of different oils!
Those 3 are the babies of the entire hair potion, im telling ya. I'm using:
Bertolli's Extra Light Olive Oil (yes, I add them to my salad too :),
Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Skin Care Oil, and
Apple Fragrance oil.
There isn't any exact measurements for this oil mixture, and you can add in any amount you prefer.
What I did:
- 5 tsp of Olive Oil
- 2 tsp of Vitamin E Oil
- 1 tsp of Fragrance Oil
And you shake it all up!
Try it and let us know how this went for your hair! It has definitely helped me in restoring the smoothness of my hair, thankfully :)
Goodluck guys!
Oh, on a sidenote: this thing is pretty oily - so I would advise you to tie up your hair into a bun/braid it whenever you apply this :D
