OOTD: Blues and Browns.

blue checked blouse from a random children shop, brown semi-waisted trousers from topshop,
Navy Blue Moccasins

Hi guys! I wore this on the last day of school for my project presentation.

Er of course I wouldn't say this is presentation appropriate especially if you're doing a serious presentation. But since I'm in an Art school, what I'm wearing in considered to be pretty mild already. Seriously, you should have seen what some of my schoolmates wear! It's like Lady Gaga during the MTV awards.

School's officially out and WE'RE FREEEEEEEEEEEEE :)

how to maintain blonde hair

Having troubles with your blonde hair???

Don't worry! CYNTHIA to the rescue! :D

Problem 1: Yellowing of hair

People, blone is a shade of yellow. BELIEVE IT. After dying your hair a certain period, you will notice that your hair is more yellow compared to before. To maintain the colour you dyed in the salon, you can't just use normal shampoo for coloured hair. You have to use BLONDE shampoo. Yes, there are such things.

Shampooing our hair opens our hair cuticle. this is how it looks like! If you ONLY shampoo your hair, after drying you can feel that your hair will be more rough and less tame.

To close the cuticles, we can use conditioner or hair treatment. Personally, I prefer to use treatment as conditioner weighs down my hair making it flat. :(

So here's a picture of my shampoo and hair treatment! :) Purple somemore! <3

This shampoo and treatment are damn effective! It managed to solve the yellowing problem! And it kept my hair soft, even after 4x bleaching... omg!

Problem 2: Roots
DAMNNN THE GROWING ROOTS. Its a problem that everyone face (obviously other than those who don't dye their hair). Unfortunately, only the hair salon can solve this problem for you. BUT! I have a temporary solution! :D

AND it is to wear a cap/hat or whatever you can find to cover them. HAHAHA! sounds lame right? BUTTTT think of it. If you were to go to an amusement park (Photo of me taken in the amusement park), you can't possibly wear necklaces and tons of bangles. Accessories are to be kept to a minimum if you were to go to such places. SOOOO, a cap in this scenario sounds good RIGHTTT! To summarize it all, there is a cap/hat in every occasion.

Problem 3: Dry hair
Sadly, bleaching your hair causes A WHOLE DAMN LOT of damage to your locks. What I did at first was to visit the salon weekly to do hair treatments. As I got busier with school, it was impossible to visit the salon that frequently. Luckily for me, I found this!

The credits are NOT solely due to the 3 bottles shown in the picture above. They are complements to a new treatment known as keratherapy. Its a keratin infused treatment that is supposed to strengthen your hair, enhance the hair colour and to make it smoother. AND THE BEST THING IS the treatment lasts for WEEKS. It lasted about 8-9 weeks for me? I alternate the blonde shampoo and keratherapy shampoo between days.

Problem 4: unnatural look
The unnatural look is mostly due to a mismatch of eyebrows. Eyebrows are important! It can sharpen up your looks or make you look sloppy. Trimming it is DAMN important! but that is not the point here. If you are not a natural blonde, you will not have blonde eyebrows or anything close. And it's damn weird to have blonde hair matched with dark eyebrows. I'm not saying to dye your eyebrows blonde, in most cases people can't accept the look. Just dye it to a brown that super light? like light chestnut? you can DIY, or go to beauty salons to do it. It shouldn't be expensive. I did my brows once in brow house and it caused me like 20 bucks. Well, acceptable! :) For DIY REFER TO THE TUTORIAL IN THE BLOG!

Well, these are the problems that I faced. hope it can be help to you all! :D
p.s. Sadly, I'm gonna change my hair colour soon. no more blonde :(

XOXO

Black n White.

This is my favourite picture of Cynthia! I had to snap pictures for my sem project and of course who would be in a better position than Cynthia for me to snap a photo of all her frilly flowery maxi dresses, right? ;)

Apologies for the long absence once again! School has been a b*tch and it's literally impossible to use the computer and internet for other usage except school related research and editing. I look forward to the days where we don't have to start a paragraph with 'Sorry for not posting....' It's coming, I can smell it because holidays are here. (and so is Christmas!)

September/Oct Finished Products

Hello all! I'm sorry, we've been missing-in-action because school has been literally sucking our blood away. :( In anycase, here's a review for the following items that were finished in the month of September/Oct! (I know, I can't get any later than this.)

1. SunPlay SPF65 Watery Cool

I really like this sunscreen due to it's light, watery texture that instantly gets absorbed by my skin - it's a good thing because I rush like a monkey in the morning and it's impossible for me to wait for anything. No clogging of pores or running of make up. Infact, it feels like nothing after it sets within a few minutes - except that lovely tingly menthol sensation. I don't exactly use this on a daily basis because of the high SPF ( I like being tanned :) but on days when I'm already burnt, and I would like like some extra protection for my raw skin - this is definitely my choice! Perhaps, if you are interested, the lower SPFs one might be much more suitable on a daily basis! :)

2. Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Cleansing Toner.
I got this because I was quite on a low budget at one point of time and was in desperate need of a toner! I don't quite like this product, because it leaves a sticky film on my face after application. It claims to have a couple of marine ingredients within the bottle - which translates to its scent. I can literally smell a seaweed in this bottle. Haha. But on the other hand, it does removes dirt and all that from my face. I think my face would be much more terrible if I slept with all the gunk that I managed to remove with this! I won't be repurchasing this though.

3. Vichy Normaderm Anti Imperfection Hydrating Care.
This moisturiser is pretty amazing because it dries matte and leaves a powdery texture when dry! It does an awesome job in the hydration part as well and allows my BB cream to sit on it all day long. BUT it's kinda pricey. My mom got this for me... Hahahah. So if finances allow, I will defo repurchase this!

This, well, I didn't see any significant change in my eye circles/bags even though I used it daily for like 3 weeks? Oh well. I wouldn't be repurchasing this since it doesn't have much of an effect on me. Besides the fact that the product is actually tinted skin-tone, and that it seems to be absorbed pretty quickly...I can't seem to like it otherwise! If only it worked on me, I will definitely repurchase this, but now, I guess not.

4. Stage - Liquid Eyeliner in Woodstock (brown)

My Holy Grail! I love this eyeliner to bits because the brown is unlike many browns which are tinted red. Lovely natural brown that stays on all day. A pity Stage has already closed down :(

and other stuff that needs no reccomendation..

5. St Ives Apricot Scrub - Fresh Skin. (got my back up already!:)

Till then guys! :)
